Georgian Way Nominated Its Candidate for the Kharagauli District Governor’s Position

Vacancy competition was announced for the position of Kharagauli district governor. Two applications were submitted – one belongs to Giga Glunchadze, member of the political party Georgian Way. Glunchadze was Georgian Way’s majoritarian candidate for the last parliamentary elections but he canceled his candidature in favor of the Georgian Dream.

Georgian Way’s leader Temur Murvanidze and member of Tbilisi City Council from the fraction Georgian Dream for Tbilisi Residents Natela Machavariani nominated him for the position. They met chairman of the Kharagauli municipal board Akaki Machavariani on the purpose.

Kharagauli district governor shall be selected through competition by the special commission. The selected candidate will be introduced to the municipal board on January 25. The criteria for the selection of the candidate are not known yet.
