Demonstrators at the Prosecutor’s Office Protest Release of “Bedukadze, Queen of Brooms”

Tea Tutberidze and demonstrators at a “patriot-organized demonstration” at the Prosecutor’s Office protested the release of Vladimer Bedukadze, who was implicated in the Gldani prison scandal.

Demonstration members brought flowers to the building; on them was written such slogans as “Bedukadze, Queen of Brooms” and “Bedukadze the Torturer”. According to demonstrators, the flowers bearing Bedukadze’s name were intended for the Minister of Justice, Tea Tsulukiani.

In addition, demonstrators held posters saying: “Bedukadze, the New Government Hero”; “Bedukadze, the Face of the “Georgian Dream”; “The Main Witness of the “Georgian Dream”; and “Bedukadze the torturer”.

There was an incident between demonstrators and citizens who came to the defense of Bedukadze.
