Archil Kbilashvili: “prisoner was forced to watch the rape of his family member”

January 23, 2013

“We saw brooms in prison; we saw blackmail of homosexuals, but we have plenty of other information and materials, which is even beyond human imagination”, said chief prosecutor Archil  Kbilashvili in his statement on the TV-program “Post Scriptum”.

“Imagine, that prisoner was forced to watch the rape of his family member; imagine that a man was buried in the ground till his throat and somebody was putting excrement on his head. All these facts are being investigated and  I want to say that there is no end of this ugly  behavior. We witness extremely inadequate and incredible reality when we discover all this but we have already lost sense of astonishment. Everything was happening here, next to us,  in our state”,  Kbilashvili said.

As for the scenes of personal lives  of representatives of sexual minority, investigation has got hold more than 80 videos, the chief prosecutor said.

Some people think the prosecutor’s office must apologize to people for disclosing those videos, but Kbilashvili disagrees with them and explains that his department discloses the illness of the pervious government.
