“Do Not Fraud” – Assembly at Adjara Government House

April 4, 2013

Today, at 18:00 pm Batumi office of the Georgian Young Lawyers’ Association, nongovernmental organizations, citizens and students will hold an assembly in front of the Adjara Government House. The slogan of the assembly is “Do not Fraud.”

The assembly participants protest an incident that occurred between the GYLA’s representatives and head of Adjara Main Department of MIA Valeri Telia on March 28 in Batumi and the conclusion of the General Inspection of the MIA on the incident.

On April 2, the conclusion of the GI of the MIA was published on the website of the Ministry: “General Inspection completed internal investigation into the incident and concluded based on the video-recording from the video-camera from the pharmacy office and testimonies of the interrogated persons that Valerian Telia had not violated its professional duties.”

Chairman of Adjara government Archil Khabadze absolutely agrees with the conclusion of the GI and states: “I do not know all the details in the case but this conclusion should definitely be impartial. So, I trust it.”
