At Nika Gvaramia’s trial, expert of economy Nikoloz Bakashvili presented expert conclusion made on the agreement between Audit Company L&M Service and KhramHESS1, KhramHESS 2 and Mtkvari Energetics. He said the documents do not show whether L&M Service had indeed provided the companies with consultation service or not.

“Tax risks were not evaluated in any conclusion either verbally or in figures. Also, as a result of the study of the documents provided by the investigative unit do not prove that L&M Service provided aforementioned three companies with consultation service except those documents, where it is only written that representative of L&M Service representative Giorgi Nemsitsveradze provided the companies with the service,” Nikoloz Bakashvili said.

According to the investigation, TELASI faced some financial problems with the state for what head of TELASI and KhramHES 1, KhramHES 2 and Mtkvari Energetics Devi Kandelaki asked the former minister of energy Aleksandre Khetaguri for help; in exchange of that Kandelaki offered 1 million lari to him. The money was to be transferred to the account of an organization as if the latter had provided the companies with consultation and had to evaluate tax risks of the company.

Prosecutor claims, former minister of justice Nika Gvaramia was also involved in bribe deal; he contacted his acquaintance Giorgi Nemsitsveradze and registered audit company L&M Service on his name. Namely, Company TELASI transferred 500 000 lari, Mtkvari Energetics – 400 000 lari, KhramHES 1 and KhramHES 2 – 50 000 lari each.
