At the court hearing on July 3, judge did not satisfy the solicitation of Gigi Ugulava’s lawyers to remove businessman Joseph Kei from the list of witnesses. The chairman of the session declined only February 15, 2013 protocol of Joseph Kei’s interrogation and clarified that it happened in Istanbul consulate and since it is not Georgian territory, the interrogation cannot be found legal.

Prosecutor’s Office blamed Tbilisi City Mayor Gigi Ugulava in simulation funding of the National Movement from state budget. Namely, 750 activists of the UNM were employed in the Ltd Tbilservicegroup and received salaries from it. The second episode of the case refers to the TV-Company Imedi and the Mayor is accused of the misappropriation of other’s property and illegal legalization of the property. Prosecutor’s Office claims Ugulava seized TV-Company Imedi from its real owner Joseph Kei.
