Gurjaani District Deputy Governor Quitted Republic Party

September 17, 2013

Mikheil Mamalashvili, Kakheti

Gurjaani district deputy governor Zurab Danelishvili quitted Republic Party after his five-year-membership. He made the decision after municipal board chairman Avtandil Zardiashvili joined the Republic Party.

“Several members of the municipal board, actively participated in the pre-election agitation in favor of the National Movement sometimes even breached the law, suddenly turned up fans of the Georgian Dream. It cannot believe that person can change his/her political affiliations in such a short time,” Danelishvili said.

Currently, the deputy district governor is not a member of any political party. He said there is chaos in district organizations of political parties. People change opinions because of presidential candidates and they move from one to another party. For that reason, he is not going to join Georgian Dream-Democratic Movement and prefers to be without party.
