Margvelashvili’s Election Office in Gori Finalize Lists of Commission Members and Observers

Georgian Dream’s Gori office works on the final version of the commission members and observers’ lists. The list shall be submitted to the District Election Commission. Several days ago, Ioseb Palelashvili was appointed to the position of the head of the local election office of Giorgi Margvelashvili, presidential candidate of the Georgian Dream. The organization changed its office and moved to the rehabilitated old district of Gori.

At the approaching elections, GD’s local office is busy with the election procedures. Giorgi Razmadze coordinates the issues related with the presidential elections in the office; he said currently they are finalizing the lists of the activists; part of them will be commission members in precincts and another part will be observer. 

“During elections, the Coalition will have four representatives in each precinct – two in the name of the Coalition and two in the name of the presidential candidate Giorgi Margvelashvili. Now we are finalizing with the lists because we had to nominate some of our observers to be commission member; also some people initially agreed to be our representatives but then refused. The DEC has already trained our representatives. As for our representatives in the precincts, we will train them from October 5. The pre-election campaign is going on in peaceful environment. We cooperate with the DEC and we will have four representatives in the DEC on the Election Day,” Giorgi Razmadze said.

Members of the GD’s local office state that presidential candidate will again meet electorate in Gori in the frame of summarizing pre-election campaign. Margvelashvili launched his campaign from Shida Kartli region.
