Head of Margvelashvili’s Election Office about Pre-Election Environment

October 15, 2013

Shorena Kakabadze, Kutaisi

“We do not want disorder, but will not put up with violations,” said Zaza Maruashvili, head of Giorgi Margvelashvili’s Kutaisi election office and suggested the nongovernmental organizations to observe the Presidential Elections of October 27, 2013 with particular attention and professionalism.

“Unfortunately, polling stations continue working in the old regime in Kutaisi. They go to municipalities, visit different agencies and openly warn directors to remember who appointed them to the positions,” Maruashvili said at the meeting with the representatives of nongovernmental organizations in Kutaisi.

He also complained about incorrect voters’ lists during the meeting with the CSOs.
