No Chairmen from National Movement in Khelvachauri District PECs

Significant majority of leaders of precinct elections commissions in Khelvachauri district represent Coalition Georgian Dream. 

In accordance to the information provided by the Khelvachauri DEC # 83, ten members of the Coalition Georgian Dream were elected to the position of the PEC Chairmen, seven members were elected to the position of deputy chairmen and eleven to secretaries. United National Movement has only one commission deputy chairperson and one secretary. As for other precincts, commission members without any political party were elected to the leading positions.

It is noteworthy that one precinct was added in the DEC and 45 polling stations were opened in Khelvachauri DEC for the upcoming presidential elections in total. Chairman of the Khelvachauri DEC Omar Varshanidze said the new precinct was opened in Akhalsheni village: “Akhalsheni village was divided into two polling stations because of increased number of voters and geographical location of the village.”

Khelvachauri district population has already received election invitation cards. 45 polling stations are opened in the DEC.  47 304 voters are registered in Khelvachauri and their number is increased at 707 in comparison to previous elections.
