Acting president of Georgia pardoned Revaz Charbadze. Mikheil Saakashvili awarded Revaz Charbadze with Vakhtang Gorgasali’s Order – First Rankt for his merit to the better defense of the country.

“As for Revaz Charbadze, I do not hesitate to sign his pardon act and also award him with the Vakhtang Gorgasali’s Order-First Rank to praise his merit in the development of Georgian military production. I thank him for the restitution of our belief that Georgian people can resolve the most difficult technical tasks under right management and leadership. Soon, it will be time when Rezo and specialists like him will manage to return to Georgia and participate in the next wave of development,” the president said.

Revaz Charbadze was charged for the prison riot case together with Bacho Akhalaia and Tbilisi City Court had sentenced him to imprisonment in absentia. Mikheil Saakashvili pardoned former defense minister Bacho Akhalaia several days ago.
