Part of Batumi University students held solidarity demonstration with Ukraine. Students of Shota Rustaveli University started movement with flags and different slogans from the University yard towards Europe Square in Batumi.

“Solidarity with Ukraine!! This assembly demonstrates our solidarity with this nation and it is sort of signal to the Government of Georgia to avoid same mistake as the government of Ukraine made!” it was message of the students’ nongovernmental organization Youth for Future.

“Joining the demonstration I would like to express my solidarity with Ukraine people. Ukraine has hard time; Russia wants to restore Soviet Union. Ukraine government made wrong decision. I, as a student, believe that it was my duty to join this demonstration,” Rezo Seperteladze said.

Several nongovernmental organizations founded by students “Youth for Future,” “Logo Group,” “Free Zone,” “Youth Initiative for Future Georgia” organized the demonstration.
