Employees of Guria Regional Administration Are Tested

In connection with the ongoing reorganization, on January 28 and 29, employees of the Guria regional administration were tested. Guria regional governor Giorgi Chkhaidze reported to the Human Rights Center that only employed people will take tests in the first round; the test will be organized by special commission. If any of the participants fails the tests, the position will become vacant and the regional administration will announce competition. “This time we decided to test already employed personnel; we will just interview them. If any of them does not meet the requirements, his/her position will become vacant and competition will be announced,” Giorgi Chkhaidze told humanrights.ge.

He said well-qualified members of the permanent competition-testing commission are already selected: Giorgi Chkhaidze – Guria regional governor is commission chairman; Ivane Menabde – manager of the public law legal entity Ozurgeti Justice House, deputy chairman;  Nino Gorbonidze – long-term space operator at the Ozurgeti Justice House, deputy chairman; Merab Chanukvadze, deputy regional governor – chairman of the complaint commission.  Commission members are: Teimuraz Kinkladze – chairman of the district office of the Trade Union and member of the Ozurgeti municipal board; Levan Chkhaidze – independent specialist, manager of the Private Bank; Nestan Bilikhodze – independent specialist; Roder Mekvabishvili – independent specialist, audit.

Humanrights.ge asked about the criteria for the selection of the commission members and the regional governor said the only criteria for the selection was their professionalism and experience.
