Andro Barnov – “It is Putin’s Prestige Olympiad”

“No to Sochi Olympiad” – public movement for Independence and Integration started demonstrations under this slogan from Telavi. Representatives of the Movement gathered at the Telavi Justice House and protested participation of Georgian sportsmen in Sochi Olympiad. Andro Barnov, a leader of the United National Movement, was at the demonstration and said Georgia shall finally say NO to Russian occupation and make European choice. “It is Putin’s prestige Olympiad and it has no other purpose. Our government could use to make the issue of occupation as hot topic for the Olympiad and gain much political profit from it. However, silence of the government creates more and more threats for the country,” former head of the ex-president’s administration said.

Demonstrations were organized in other cities of Georgia too.
