Family of Lost Man Urge Law Enforcement Bodies for Help

November 30, 2015

Ekaterine Chakhvashvili, Kakheti

Resident of Kistauri village, Akhmeta district Aleksi Kivnishvili, 63, has been missing for 8 days already. Representative of the district governor Zviad Mosiashvili said the man worked for his neighbor Giorgi Pavliashvili on November 18 but since then nobody has seen him. Rescue team and village population have been looking for him for two days in vain.

Family members of Kivnishvili are not satisfied with the work of the investigation service. “Akhmeta district police does not pay attention to us. They said they have looked for him everywhere but could not find. Village population is also looking for him but there is no trace. We urge everybody for help to find our relative.”

Kivnishvili’s son said after his father finished work, Giorgi Pavliashvili brought Aleksi Kivnishvili to the central motorway by his car. “From there my father started walking home but he never reached it. Nobody knows where he disappeared.”

Akhmeta district police is investigating the case; the criminal case was launched under Article 115 of the Criminal Code of Georgia that is bringing a person to a point of suicide.
