Security officers of a slot club arrested for the physical assault of Vaso Maisuradze in Gurjaani

Law enforcement officers arrested security officers of the Gurjaani based slot club Ltd Vegas. According to the prosecutor’s office, they were convicted under Article 117 Part 5 – “e” of the Criminal Code of Georgia, which refers to the intentional infliction of grave injury by a group.

The investigation estimated that on April 16, 2018 security officers of the slot club Ltd Vegas in Gurjaani D.A and Sh.E beat Vaso Maisuradze in the face and head that caused grave injury of health and he is in coma in hospital. 

Prosecutor’s office solicited the court to use imprisonment as a preventive measure against the accused persons. The charge brought against the detainees is punishable with imprisonment from seven to ten years in length. 

28-year-old Vaso Maisuradze is in difficult situation. He is in intensive-therapy unit of the Tbilisi Zhvania Medical Clinic.
