Investigation over misappropriation – waste of funds

Representatives of the Investigative Service at the Ministry of Finances started examination in the Non-Entrepreneurial Legal Entity “Public Services and Amenities” of the Gori Municipality City Hall and study financial violations there. The head of the Agency Givi Kobakhidze does not speak about concrete violations in their office. “Maybe, they examine financial documentation. You should ask them about details.”

The press-center of the investigative service of the Ministry reports that the investigation was launched under Article 182 of the Criminal Code of Georgia that refers to misappropriation-waste of funds. They refrain from speaking about more details considering the best interests of the investigation.

Senior officials of the local government, Gori Mayor Konstantine Tavzarashvili and the chairperson of the Municipal Assembly Davit Razmadze, are informed about the ongoing investigation into the NELE of the City Hall. Both of them state that they do not have information about concrete violations and concrete purposes of the investigation.
