The investigative activities resumed in Gori with regard to the disappeared adult

In the central park of the city “Akhalbagi”, the investigative activities continue to find the boy, who disappeared in Gori 14 years ago. I.N, suspect in the murder of the nine-years-old girl in Gori, also participated in the investigative experiment. He participated in the criminal case related with the disappeared boy 14 years ago. Namely, I.N was sending letters to the family member and tried to extort money from them. In 2004, I.N was convicted only for the extortion. After he was arrested in Gori for the murder of the nine-years-old girl, the deputy minister of interior Kakha Sabanadze stated that I.N made testimony with regard to 11-years-old boy, who disappeared years ago. The suspect said that the boy was buried in Akhabaghi Park. 

The area has been surrounded and investigation has been underway for one month already. After geo-scanning the land and expertize of the obtained materials, the investigative team started digging of the area with heavy technique. 

On December 6, the investigative team found bones, but they belonged to an animal. Archeologist Vakhtang Licheli was also involved in the process, who said after examining ongoing activities that the process is carried out correctly.

“Our consultations aimed to evaluate how methodologically correctly the investigation activities go on and if there are any chance of mistake. Everything is done very carefully, in details and the experts are examining every meter of the land,” Vakhtang Licheli said. 

The search of Zakro Benashvili’s body resumed in the beginning of November after the lower layers of the soil was scanned and examined.
