Working hours: Full time
Main duties:
Monitoring the court hearings over criminal and administrative cases in Tbilisi based courts (in case of necessity in the region based courts too) for the identification and reporting of observed violations/miscarriages;
Monitoring of the protest demonstrations in Tbilisi and regions (in case of necessity);
preparation of comprehensive analysis of the monitoring observations both from the trials and protest demonstrations;
implementation of other duties relevant to the monitoring purposes.
Implementation of other duties in the frame of the program, which are substantially linked with the responsibilities of the human rights lawyer/analyst.
Requirements:
Higher education in human rights law (Bachelor’s or Master’s degree);
Good knowledge of the criminal and administrative law, human rights, and international standards in the field of criminal law;
experience of trial and demonstrations monitoring is an advantage;
Respect of human rights and equality;
Knowledge of English language is an advantage
Skills and competences:
Ability to prepare reports and analysis in Georgian language;
good job discipline, ability to independently plan work as well as to work in team;
Good command of computer programs.
ability to work in stressful environment;
ability to critically analyze, proactively identify the problems and conduct operative communication.
Salary: 1270 GEL (Gross)
