Workshop “Water, Sanitary, Hygiene (WaSH): Standards, Goals and Needs”

On February 21, HRC organized the second workshop for the directors of the public schools and kindergartens, heads and specialists of the educational resource centers and unions of kindergartens from two project targeted municipalities of Kvemo Kartli region – Marneuli and Dmanisi municipalities. The workshop was organized in the Marneuli Civic Engagement Center. It was delivered by the expert on public healthcare Simon Gabritchidze. Topic of the workshop was: “Water, Sanitary, Hygiene (WaSH): Standards, Goals and Needs”. The purpose of the training was to raise awareness of the target audience on WASH related issues and standards to equip them with knowledge-based information how to monitor the ongoing rehabilitation works of the toilets and water-systems in their respective institutions. 22 representatives of the public schools and kindergartens attended the workshop.
 
The workshop was organized in the frame of the projects “Young People as Agents of Change for Better WASH” and “Water for the Poor”, which HRC implements with the financial support of the UNICEF and EU (respectively).
