Training on Civil Activism and Advocacy

Program Description 
Istanbul, Turkey 

The Training on Civil Activism and Advocacy is a three-day educational program, which aims to build capacity in civil activism and advocacy among Georgian, Abkhaz and Ossetian youth. 

As a result of the training, the participants will:
  • analyze main point of the team-work; the stages of the team building and respective challenges in the process;
  • acknowledge the essence of the democracy and the role of the civil society in the State;
  • acknowledge the civil responsibilities and initiatives-related issues;
  • discuss necessary competences of civil activists and self-evaluate their abilities based on that;
  • acknowledge the mission of the State as well as the advantages and obstacles in it;
  • receive information about the fields and stages of the civic engagement and will acknowledge the difficulties or challenges in this process;
  • analyze the main point of the advocacy, its goals and objectives;
  • get familiar with the advocacy forms and learn successful examples of the advocacy.
Participants: 

Young people from Abkhazia, Georgia and South Ossetia 

Working language: English and Russian
