Garbage in the Supermarket of Akhaltsikhe

Territory of Akhaltsikhe Super Market is full of garbage. Nobody pays any attention to such situation and that is why, it is possible that in the nearest future it will turn into the place of spreading of tuberculosis.

Surrounding territory of Super Market is covered with dust and garbage. Mountains of dirty boxes, rotten fruit and carrions of dogs – such kind of picture waits to people walking on that territory.

“The garbage stays here during a weeks. There come a lot of dogs here in the evenings and it becomes very dangerous to walk here. Now, some people begin to kill dogs, but they leave dead dogs here” – says anxious inhabitant.

Milk products are sold in front of the cabinet of anti-tub medical union. Zaira Tabunidze, nurse of this union says that products must not be sold there. “Tuberculosis is spread by the air. We ask them not to sold cheese here, but nobody pays us any attention. We do not know what to do.”

Terrible smell comes from the rotten products: “It is necessary to open the windows after the visit of ill person, but terrible smell enters from the street” – say doctors.

According to Omar Jujunadze, the director of Ltd. “Bazari”, the super market and the surrounding territory is cleaned from the garbage every evening: “We cannot sweep the territory in afternoons, because a lot of people move here. Trading in front of the supermarket is unsolved problem. We have forbidden trading in front of the market for several times, though, traders come there anyway.”

The director of supermarket promises us to foresee our pretensions.

Amiran Nozadze, a chief of Ltd “Organization of public services and amenities” insists that garbage car cleans all streets of Akhaltsikhe: “The territory of supermarket is cleaned every morning. Though, at 3-4 o’clock situation is the same. The traders left the garbage where ever they like”.
