Students from Batumi Returned to Their Home Town

After five days of imprisonment, Adjarian students Mikeladze and Chakhvadze, who were detained in Tbilisi, returned home two days ago and were met by Adjaran leader Aslan Abashidze and Batumi mayor Giorgi Abashidze at the airport of Batumi.

The central Georgian government demanded the release of Kmara members detained in Batumi in exchange for the release of Adjaran students detained in Tbilisi. Aslan Abashidze confessed that there were some negotiations between him and Prime Minister Zurab Zhvania, and that some Ajarian students had already been exchanged for some Kmara members.
