Street Traders Renewed Actions in Adjara

July 26, 2004, Batumi, Media-News.
Nearly 300 street traders renewed demonstrations at the central market of Batumi.

According to the statement of the protesters, they are not satisfied with the places offered at the trade centre of Boni, because there are no suitable conditions there and they prefer to return to their old places.

The Chairman of the Adjarian Government Levan Vashalomidze has already warned them, that he will not tolerate actions like these in Batumi. Herewith, a criminal case was already brought against the organizers of the action.
The participants of the action continue to protest and state that the new authority of Adjara has disappointed them.
