Media News.

The European Court of Human Rights sent the first recommendation to the Georgian government after the appeal of David Mirtsxulava, former Minister of Energy, and claims for taking Mirtskhulava to hospital,- Eka Beselia, the attorney of Mirtskhulava told to Media News.
According to her, the European Court of Human Rights will supposedly discuss the Mirtskhulava’s case in September, but before that the Ministry of Justice was ordered to take Mirtskhulava to the hospital.
The Ministry of Justice has to implement the recommendation until August 16.
According to Beselia, the penitentiary department of the Ministry of Justice offered Mirtskhulava to move from jail #7 to jail #1, and to stay in its treatment department. However, the prisoner refused.
The attorney states that the penitentiary department must at least take Mirtskhulava to the prison hospital.
Mirtskhulava’s attorney was asked for additional materials regarding the case.
The materials confirming the oncological illness of Mirtskhulava were sent to Strasburg on August 16. In addition to that, the attorney sent a letter describing the current condition of the prisoner in jail. Beselia insists that the conditions are too hard and slum.
