Transporting of Small Weapons is Forbidden

Media News. The law on forbidding the transporting small weapons entered into force on July 1, 2003. Though the society was not informed about the mentioned law.

According to Zurab Tsitskishvili, the head of licensing department of the Interior Ministry, he was appointed after the new Interior Minister Irakli Okruashvili was appointed on the position. He does not know what was going on before and according which law did the law-enforcements had been acting.

As Zurab Tsitskishvili said, he now honestly performs his duties in the framework of the legislation and he explains to the community that those who had taken the license “by mistake”, they can apply to respective service of the Interior Ministry and can freely change the license with the one that allows to keep this kind of weapon at home.
