Chairperson of Young Lawyers’ Association to be Elected in Two Weeks

Tbilisi.31.10.04. Media News. Seven new board members were elected at a session held in honor of the Young Lawyers’ Association’s 10th anniversary. Davit Usupashvli and Koba Davitashvli, MP are among the elected board members.

The elections of the new chairperson of the Association are scheduled to be held in two weeks. One of the candidates for the position will be Ana Dolidze, Interim Chairperson of the Association. As for Tinatin Khidasheli, she is currently studying in the United States and this time is not planning to participate in the elections.

The Young Lawyers’ Association was founded on September 9, 1994. Among the Association’s founding initiators are Irakli Okruashvli, current Minister of Interior and Zurab Adeishvili, Prosecutor General ,though they did not appear at the celebration party held in the Youth Palace of Tbilisi on October 30. The president of Georgia did not visit the party either. His wife, Sandra Rulovs congratulated the young lawyers on the event.
