Resettlment Period for IDPs from Hotel “Adjara” Extended

Tbilisi. 31.10.04. Media News. The term for concluding contracts with IDPs living in Hotel “Adjara” has been prolonged.

The timelimit for IDPs to sign the contracts with investors has been extended from October 29 to November 5.

According to information given by Zurab Kikaleishvili, Chairman of the Special Committee for Resettling IDPs from “Adjara”, the IDPs will receive the money by November 15, and will be given time to leave until December 15.

At present, 205 out of 237families have already signed the contracts.
For information: Regarding the reconstruction of Hotel “Adjara”, the investor joint stock “Adjara” began concluding contracts with the IDPs living in the Hotel on October 15. The contract foresee 7000 USD compensation per room. The Committee of the Ministry on Refugees and Resettlement will assist the IDPs in the search and purchase of new flats.
