Source of Radiation Discovered in Settlement of Lilo

Tbilisi.08.11.04.Media News. On the basis of on-line information, Employees of the Ministry of Security have discovered a box containing the radioactive substance ’’cobalt – 60“ in the vicinity of Lilo territory.

According to expert explanation,  the population of Lilo territory could have been exposed to radioactive emanation should the box have been opened.
Experts of the ministry have examined the radiation source and moved it to a secure place.

The relevant institutions have started to investigate into the origin of the radioactive material.
