Head of Batumi Police Department Sentenced to House Arrest


Batumi.21.11.04.Media News. The Supreme Court has sentenced Ilia, Head of Police Department of the Autonomous Republic of Adjara to house arrest.
Together with Miran Kobuladze, Deputy Head of the Batumi Pre-Detention Isolator, Djortanidze had been detained three days ago for the illegal release of a prisoner from the isolator.
The Prosecutor’s Office interrogated 18 persons on the issue and detained only four of them, among them the Former Head of Batumi Police.
