Court will Discuss the Case of Former Underground Policemen in January

Tbilisi.17.12.04.Media News. The session was held in Tbilisi Mtatsminda-Krtsanisi District Court on December 17 regarding the appeal of former policemen of Tbilisi underground.

The former policemen are appealing the decision of Ministry of Interior regarding their dismissal. The court will begin discussing the case on January 11.

Ketevan Ustiashvili, Lawyer of Labour Party will defend the interests of former underground policemen at the trial.

About 300 employees of Tbilisi underground were dismissed on November 3 and this fact was only made known to them on November 8. Dismissed policemen demand compensation and restoration to the working places. On November 9 Ministry of Interior replaced the underground policemen with patrol police.
