Kidnapped Georgians Are in Gali Police Department

Zugdidi.12.01.05.Media News. 17 persons kidnapped by Abkhazian criminals from village Ganmukhura of Zugdidi District and villages of Gali District on January 11 are now in Gali Police Department.

Abkhazian policemen does not agree on contacts with the Georgian side and consequently it is not known why the kidnapped Georgians are taken to Police Department. UN military observers are conducting negotiations with the Abkhazian law enforcers about the release of the Georgians.

“Everybody who dares to insult the Georgian population will have to answer for it – stated Zurab Zhvania, Prime Minister – Today we expect that all the kidnapped people will be returned without any conditions. Our business is to find out which grouping kidnapped the Georgians. Who dares to repeat to do the similar kind of action will receive not adequate but a very strict answer. For the time being the most elite military units have been taken to the territory” – said Zurab Zhvania.
