Residents of Vaziani Military Settlement Have to Vacate

Tbilisi,  2/2/05, Media News. Residents of Vaziani military settlement have to vacate their homes within four days.

On February 2, they organized a protest arguing that the Security Ministry is only going to repair the houses of those in the Georgian military--but all others are ordered to simply leave.

Beside the Russian military, there are IDPs from Abkhazia and people living in the Vaziani military settlement who have arrived from other regions of Georgia. According to them, they purchased the houses from Russian military men long ago.

Representatives of the Security Ministry refused comment.
