“Granting Pensions to the Population is Conducted Illegally”

Tbilisi.02.15.05.Media News. Statement of Bejan Butskhrikidze, Deputy Chairman of the Parliamentary Budget and Finance Committee that pensions are granted to the population illegally as the operation of the appropriate law is currently stopped, caused certain contradiction at the session of the Committee.

Butskhrikidze stated that in order to improve this drawback he himself had developed a draft law on defining the retirement age.

According to Zurab Nogaideli, candidate for the Prime Minister’s post it is true that the law is currently stopped but pensions are granted in line with the deeds considered by law and citizens will have no problems with granting pensions.

Zurab Nogaideli said that the main order of the public was to create working places and the efforts of the government would be directed to this.
