Tenure of Soviet-style Passports has been Prolonged until 1 September

[Tbilisi.30.06.05.MediaNews] According to the decree of the President Mikheil Saakashvili, the tenure of the old Soviet-style passports has now been prolonged until 1 September 2005 during which a gradual process of changing the passport system is underway.

The deadline of functioning for the old Soviet-style passports was originally set at 1 July but was prolonged since a large part of the population was not able to change their passports in time.
