Aids Infected Inmate Stays in Prison

12/10/05 “Media News”- “The health condition of the prisoner Revaz Mikava, who is infected with Aids, is stable and there is no need to move him from the Zugdidi №4 Prison to the medical department”, - say the representatives of the Ministry of Justice.

According to the research done by the HIV and Aids Centre, Mikava is infected. He suffers from high temperature currently, but his condition is not threatening.

Mikava was arrested on the 21st of July, 2005. He is accused of robbery and wanted from the 27th of August, 1996.
