Last Day of Moving Inmates to New Juvenile Prison

26/10/05, “Media News” – The process of moving inmates from Tbilisi Jail №1 to a new Juvenile Prison will finish today.
More than 60 prisoners have already been transferred to the new jail, which was opened a week ago. Today 23 more prisoners stepped into their new place of detention.

Construction of the new juvenile jail near the women’s prison started 10 months ago. The state financed this project with 800 thousand GEL.

The two-story building has four-bed rooms equipped with modern furniture. The jail has a bathroom, space for walking, rooms for investigation, etc.

Juvenile prisoners spent their preliminary custody in Tbilisi Jail №1, before the end of the investigation process and court procedure.
