Restored Mini-Bus Route on Tabukashvili Street Reason for Confrontation

27/10/05, “Media News” – Inhabitants of the Tabukashvili Street have once again protested against the restoration of mini-bus routes in their district. This has become a reason for confrontation.

The drivers attempted to force open the road which was blocked by the inhabitants. Several old buildings on this street are in very poor condition and inhabitants fear that the frequent movement of mini-buses makes their state even worse.

The drivers argue that they have permission from the Tbilisi Municipality to continue driving on the Tabukashvili Street. The street is currently open for traffic.
