Inhabitants of Bolnisi Demand Drinking Water

Bolnisi. 19.02.06. Media News. On February 19th, inhabitants of Bolnisi in the Kvemo Kartli region organized a demonstration. The demonstrators demanded the supply of electricity and water by Bolnisi’s local governor Giorgi Aravadze. Inhabitants find that they get filthy drinking water.

Koba Davitashvili, leader of the Conservative Party, also attended the protest. According to him lawlesness reigns in Bolnissi. „The population is paying for electricity but is not provided with it. This is a crime. Also it is evident that local government is trying to restrict the freedom of demonstration. Criminal cases have been launched against organizers of the action.“
