Tbilisi. 02.03.06. Media News. Today, family members and relatives of prisoners gathered in front of jail # 7 and demanded that they be allowed to meet the prisoners. They say that prisoners are being severely beaten in the jail.

The Public Defender of Georgia visited prisoners today. According to him, prisoners avoid speaking in detail about what had happened. “Eight prisoners state that they were beaten. There are some physical injuries seen on the face of a couple of them. They speak about general problems but say nothing about the events that took place yesterday and the day before”, says Sozar Subari.
