Georgian Journalists Moved to Sokhumi Jail

Tbilisi, 05.03.2006, “Media News” – Georgian journalists Tea Sharia and George Sokhadze, arrested in Georgian-Abkhaz conflict zone, have been moved to the Sokhumi Jail. The relatives and family members have been looking for the journalists for two days.

The journalists were working for non-governmental organizations. They were arrested by Abkhaz soldiers in the Ochamchire region, where they were filming Bedia Monastery. The journalists were shooting a documentary. Both of them were beaten.
