The Head of Shida Kartli Financial Police Neglects Accusations

The head of Shida Kartli Police Department, Zurab Arsoshvili, categorically denies beating Izo Kerelidze, a citizen of Gori. Izo Kerelidze has made an appeal to the Gori court, stating that Arsoshvili physically assaulted her. According to Kerelidze, the head of the Financial Police deliberately slammed a door into her.

Zurab Arsoshvili calls Izo Kerelidze an ‘adventurer’ and does not intend to react to her accusations. The car of Kerelidze’s husband however has been detained in the Gori Depot for over a week now. The staff of the Financial Police discovered smuggled goods in the car. Kerelidze’s family accuses the police of stealing their car.
