‘Transparency International Georgia’ Gives Award for Best Investigative Article

‘Transparency International’ gave an award for the best investigative article written about corruption, during a ceremony held at Hotel ‘Varazi’. The winner, Eka Gulua, a journalist of the ‘Rezonansi’ newspaper, received a cash prize and certificate for her piece. The article, entitled ‘Former Local Administrator Pursued by Governor and MP’ was published in the ‘Mteli Kvira’ (‘Whole week’) newspaper.

The Georgian branch of Transparency International holds such competitions seasonally. Journalists who publish articles between March 1 and May 31 will be able to take part in the next competition.
