Presentation of ‘Reporter’ Studio’s New Film

Tbilisi. 16.05.06. Media News. On May 16th, the ‘Reporter’ studio will present its new film - ‘Thanks to Patrol’ - in Kino Sakhli.  The 20 minute documentary film shows the ‘Special Operation’ that took place on November 24th 2004, in which Amiran Robakidze, aged 19, died.

The film reveals that on November 24th, the patrol police stopped a ‘BMW’ and attempted to detain the six men in the car for no reason. During this Special Operation, Amiran Robakidze was killed by a bullet fired by police officer Grigol Bashaleishvili. 

According to journalists from the ‘Reporter’ studio, all five people detained during the Special Operation, as well as Officer Grigol Bashaleishvili, have been released on bail. 

‘Thanks to Patrol’ is based on the testimonies of the accused and the patrol police officers. It analyzes the conclusions of the Prosecutor’s Office and the Court decisions.

The new film by the ‘Reporter’ Studio was made in conjunction with a Eurasia Foundation project.
