‘Justice’ Party Demands the Release of Protestors Arrested on the 26th May

Tbilisi. 29.05.06 Media News. The representatives of the foreign branch of the Samartlianoba (‘Justice’) party, demand that the government of Georgia release seven protestors who were detained on the 26th of May.

Revaz Bulia, Giorgi Kvinkvinia, Malkhaz Chkheidze, Mzia Tsatsua and other supporters of the ‘Justice’ party were detained by police during a demonstration, for hooliganism and then sentenced to various terms of imprisonment.

“It is not a new occurrence that the government accuses opposition parties of wrongdoings, however, this arrest made it clear that the regime in Georgia is based on blood and chaos”, announced the party.

‘Justice’ labels Saakashvili’s rule as a totalitarian regime. The party calls to international, pro-democracy organizations and NGOs responsible for human rights protection to respond.
