TV Company ‘Channel 25’ Faces New Problems

Batumi. 25.06.06 ‘Media News’ – Ajarian TV Company ‘Channel 25’ that stopped broadcasting last week, because of electricity shortages, faces new problems.

According to Gia Suramanidze, the general director of the TV Company, unknown persons ordered every cable station to block the TV Company ‘Channel 25’, or else they would be threatened with ‘serious problems’.

Suramanidze declared that the biggest cable TV provider ‘Era’, the main conduit of ‘Channel 25’ has now blocked their broadcasts. Suramanidze thinks that the administration of ‘Era’ could be involved in the incidents, which take place at ‘Channel 25’.

Suramanidze intends to send a letter to President Mikheil Saakashvili and hopes that he will help the independent TV Company to deal with the problems.
