Journalists Demand Frequency of ‘Trialeti’ TV Company Be Taken From Kitoshvili

Journalists from the newspaper ‘Kartlis Khma’ (‘The Voice of Kartli’) will officially demand that Dimitry Kitoshvili, Head of the Regulation Commission of Georgia, take away the frequency of the ‘Trialeti’ TV Company.

According to journalists Saba Tsitsikashvili, Tamar Okruashvili, Ketevan Akhalbedashvili and others, the news department of ‘Trialeti’ prepare insulting programs about them and thus are violating ethical norms. The journalists are going to sue the TV Company and will demand moral compensation for damaging their image.

According to the laws around broadcasting, if a TV Company violates ethical norms, the issue of taking away the frequency from the company should be discussed. The aforementioned journalists accuse former MP Badri Nanetashvili, the founder of TV Trialeti, of violating labour rights.
