Party ‘Justice’ Accuses Government in Harassment

Tbilisi, 10.07.06, ‘Media News’ – Party ‘Justice’ accuses government in physical assault on party leaders and members.

As one of the members of the party Gela Ghlighvashvili declared on the press-conference, four unknown persons have attacked the head of party’s regional office in Kartli, Genadi Archuadze and have beaten him up. Eye witnesses say that the attackers were driving a blue car (OPEL Vectra), with Russian numbers.

Ghlighvashvili says that it was the fourth attack on Genadi Archuadze. Despite the fact that the party has asked ministry of Internal Affairs for help, none of the cases were investigated. “We categorically demand investigation of the case and punishment of the criminals”, declared Ghlighvashvili.
