Court in Batumi Started Hearing of Beaten MP’s Case

Hearing of the case of members of the Supreme Council of Adjara Murman Dumbadze and Malkhaz Kalandadze started yesterday in Batumi.
The incident took place last October in the Supreme Council. The member of Republican Party Murman Dumbadze was slightly injured after the incident. “Malkhaz Kalandadze physically assaulted me during the meeting”- declared Dumbadze.

Criminal case against Kalandadze was launched. He is accused according to the article 120 of the Criminal Code. The court has satisfied Dumbadze’s appeal and the Prosecutor’s Office will be involved in investigation. Murman Dumbadze is sure that he will win the case. “I am sure Kalandadze will be punished. He will be dismissed from the Supreme Council of Adjara”- stated Dumbadze.

Malkhaz Kalandadze, the member of parliamentary majority, did not attend Court hearing yesterday.
