Who Protects MP?

September 18, 2006

On the 16th September at nearly 6 p.m. there was a car crash near the Teklati area on the Zugdidi-Tbilisi central motorway. A VAZ- 2104 crashed the foal. The car was so badly damaged that it needed to be pulled away by a tractor-drown. The foal died.

The witnesses say the driver was Georgian MP from Tsalenjikha district, Guge Tsanava. Patrol Police did not draw a report on the incident thus nobody punished the MP either. The villagers got furious about the MP being not punished. The patrol police say the reports are not drawn about the similar incidents.

Neither the owner of the dead animal was remembered at all. To compensate the damage is beyond mentioning. Why was not the MP punished? Why are only humble people responsible for their behavior? These are the questions which bother the society for a long time and have been waiting for the reply in vain.

The most important is the fact that Guge Tsanava tried to disappear and than he said that the driver was his relative, owner of the car. The broken car was taken to Tsalenjikha at 10 p.m.
